Collect your sample

Any day of your cycle. Sit somewhere comfortable and set aside about 15 minutes.

Don’t skip these two steps

The lab can’t use your sample without them.

Write your date of birth (MM/DD/YY) on the tube label and stick it on vertically, without covering the barcode.
Fill in the form with your full name, date of collection, date of birth and signature.

Wash your hands and lay out the kit on a clean, flat surface.
Remove any excess hair from your upper arm.
Take everything out of the kit. Unwrap the device and set the gauze and bandage aside.
Twist the cap off the tube. Keep the date-of-birth label for later.
Press the tube into the device until snug, with the sticker facing out so you can watch it fill.
Clean your upper arm with the alcohol pad and let it dry.
Activate the heat pack (or warm your hand) and rub it up and down your shoulder for 4 minutes.

Remove the clear cover from the red button.
Peel the tab off the device and stick it to your upper arm.
Hang your arm straight down. Press the button all the way down once and release. You may hear a faint click.
Set a timer for 5 minutes and stay seated. Watch the tube fill, using a mirror if needed.
Remove the device at 5 minutes, or as soon as blood reaches the top fill line.

Have the gauze and bandage ready.
Peel the device off from one side. Press gauze on the spot and apply the bandage.
Remove the tube with a slight twist and pull down.
Snap the cap onto the tube until it clicks.
Gently turn the tube upside down 8–10 times. Don’t shake it.

Write your date of birth (MM/DD/YY) on the label from the tube bag.
Peel off the backing and attach the label vertically on the tube. Don’t cover the barcode.
Complete the form: full name, date of collection, date of birth and signature.
Pack your sample and follow the shipping instructions in your kit.

No blood yet?

That’s normal. Blood may not appear for the first 1–2 minutes.

Not enough blood, or the device didn’t work?

Message your care team and we’ll send you a new kit.

Feeling lightheaded?

Stay seated during collection. Mild bruising or a small mark at the site can happen.

Taking blood thinners?

You may bleed a little longer. Keep gentle pressure on the gauze.
